St. Michaels Prayer
for the Military Families
In faith and hope, we turn to you for comfort.
Grant that we may trust in your mercy and
send an angel to sustain us as we await th
God of all goodness, look with love on those
who wait for the safe return of their loved ones
who serve in the armed forces of their country.
We pray for their safe return.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
A Time to Remember Those who have Died and Those who served our Country.
God of Abraham and of Moses, Lord of the living, who gave Jesus the fullness of eternal life, hear our prayer as we come to remember our loved ones who have died, and pray for all who serve our country so we might live in freedom and peace.
With reverence, we visit this sacred cemetery where many family and friends have been placed within the womb of the earth to await the final day of glory.
We pray for all those who have died, we rejoice because their names have been written for all in the palm of your divine hand.
May this prayer remind us of what we already know: that nothing dies: rather, life is only transformed into new life. Holy are these graves, Holy this earth that has held in gentle embrace the bodies of all who are buried in this cemetery.
Gracious Lord, we lift up into your divine heart all who have died, and all who gave their lives in service of this country, we pray that you will grant them eternal peace and the perpetual company of your saints, forever and ever. Amen

Prayer for the Military
All-powerful and ever-living God, when Abraham
left his native land and departed from his people you
kept him safe through all his journeys. Protect these
soldiers. Be their constant companion and their
strength in battle, their refuge in every adversity.
Guide them, O Lord, that they may return home in safety.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
